Double Shaker Christmas Card

I've been having a lot of fun creating shaker cards lately and when I seen this double layer shaker card on Julia's Zed Squared blog I knew I had to re-create it with a Christmas theme.

If you want to know how to create the double shaker card have a look at her blog, she has a great video.

I love all the little items in my shaker card and with the Lawn Fawn Stamps and dies it was super easy; no fussy cutting needed! Except for the holly and the scarf, I fussy cut them.

The deer is apart of their Party Animal stampset and it's super cute! I love how I can make the animals work for any occasion.

I'm entering my card into the last Lawnscaping Challenge of 2015! The theme for this challenge is Merry Christmas!

Calling All Hereos Birthday - FMS200 - FM222

It has been a very long time since I have been in the craft room and created anything. Life has completely taken over and I am finding it hard to get into the craft room.

I needed to get some crafting therapy so today I decided to see what challenges were out there and what I could come up with.

I found two challenges and instantly I had an idea for a card.

Thank you Freshly Made Sketches and The Friday Mashup for your inspiration!

This sketch was simple but it was perfect!

The challenge at Friday Mashup was to create a Birthday card using any technique, I chose to do a reflection technique using vellum as well as a water-colour background.

Here's what I came up with:

Stampset: Calling All Heroes and a Paper Pumpkin Stamp
Paper: Basic Black, Shimmery White, Whisper White, Lost Lagoon, Vellum
Ink: Versa Mark, Archival Black, Lost Lagoon
Markers: Real Red, Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight
Accessories: White Embossing Powder

Paper Crafter Sampler - May - Wooden It Be Lovely

Panels, planks, pallets.  What do they all have in common?  They're all made of wood.

Wood, be it recycled pallets, old fences or barnyards, has evolved into home décor and arts and crafts.  It's the later of the two in which the design team was given a challenge to create projects with a wood theme.

The May issue, "Wooden It Be Lovely" offers project ideas using stamps and textures resembling wood.  We've really come through with an array of ideas, each unique.

Keeping in theme with the wooden theme, the template of the month is a Garden Bench with a sweet Hardwood background stamp.

FM195 I have a Sketch!

I am so excited for this weeks challenge at The Firday Mashup! This week I got to create one last sketch for the team and for all of you. I think it is the perfect way to end my time with the team. I am super excited to see how everyone interprets the sketch!

Over the past year I have really enjoyed my time with The Friday Mashup team and I believe I have grown a lot as a creator. I started out only casing (copying) other people's projects but now I am able to come up with my own.

I just want to take time to thank all the other designers on the team. They have provided fantastic inspiration with all of their challenges and they have pushed me to think out side of my box which has helped me to grow!

This week's Mashup Challenge is:

1. Create a project with the "Sketch".
2. Create a project with "2 different embellishments".
3. or Mash it Up! and create a project "with the Sketch and different embellishments".

Stampset: Four Feathers, Perfect Pennants
Paper: Coastal Cabana, Crushed Curry, Whisper White, Smokey Slate, Blackberry Bliss
Ink: Crushed Curry, Smokey Slate, Blackberry Bliss
Bigshot: Banner Framelits
Tools: Stampin' Up's Handheld Stapler
Accessories: Coastal Cabana Thick Bakers Twine, Frosted Sequins, Mini Staples

I thought it would be fun to show you what cards started my adventure with the Friday Mashup.

When they put out their call for new designers I had a vivid dream of some cards to make for one of their challenges. The next day I went straight to my craft room and began creating. The cards turned out exactly and I pictured them in my dream.

I submitted them to The Friday Mashup Design team call and shortly after that I was off and designing for the team.

Thank you all for playing along with us throughout the year, it has been amazing!

Eiffel Tower "Loveable You" Blog Hop

I am very excited to be apart of the Paper Crafter Sampler design team and I would like to welcome you to our first blog hop. We are using the Eiffel Tower template featured in the "Loveable You" January 2015 issue of the Paper Crafter Sampler.

The Eiffel Tower looks complicated yet it was so simple! All I did was use the SVG File provided in the January issue and cut it out with my Silhouette Cameo. I followed the video created by our leader Melanie Schulenberg and quickly created the tower.

After the tower was together I cut out the Butterfly in Gold Glimmer Paper and Velum. Curved the butterfly velum with my bone folder and adhered to the gold butterfly using a glue dot. I hid my glue dot using the Basic Pearls. Then I embossed my sentiment with Black Embossing Powder on my velum and adhered that the gold glimmer banner. Again, hiding it with more basic pearls. So simple yet my co-workers are loving the new "Candy holder".

Stampset: Oh, Goodie!
Paper: Gold Glimmer Paper, Velum, Retired DSP
Ink: Versa Mark
Punches: Banner
Bigshot: Butterfly Framelits
Tools: Heat Tool
Accessories: Basic Black Embossing Powder, Basic Pearls
