Lisa's challenge this week at Friday mashup came easily to me, once I got my new order of the new in-colors. I hummed and hawed for quite a while before deciding to get the new in colors. After all there are only a few I really like. But the bundle with the paper and ink is such a good deal it didn't make sense to order everything individually.
Thank you Lisa for the great challenge. I think the colors work very well together!!!

Here's your Mashup Challenge:
1. Create a project using the colors" Hello Honey, Lost Lagoon
& Mossy Meadow".
2. Create a project with a "Summer" theme . (Beach,
Picnic, Swimming, etc.)
3. or Mash it Up! and create a "Summer project using the
colors above".
For the background I used my brayer and inked up the Cloud embossing folder. You have to get it really inked up or you can end up with spots uninked. Then you place your very vanilla card stock in the embossing folder and run it through you big shot, leaving the clouds to stand out uninked.
To get the sun I punched my Hello Honey with my scalloped circle. Then I used a post it note to help me stick the punched circle back into the punch and punched one more time, giving you smaller rays for your sun.

ReplyDeleteLove the scene you created, Avery! I've got several family members that are part of a hot air balloon group in Colorado but here in Alaska I've only seen one balloon in the years I've been here!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun and festive scene! I love how bright and sharp the colours look together. Great job, Avery!
