FM135 Thanksgiving Turkey

I am not sure what I would do without the Friday Mashup. If it wasn't for them I am not sure if I would be consistent with posting on my blog. For right now I can guarantee you I will have one post, each Friday, for you to view. Hopefully once I finish this course at the U of C things will slow down and I will find myself back in the craft room.

At Friday Mashup this week the challenge was to create a project with a "Game/Woodsy type Animal (Deer, Moose, Turkey, etc)." or create a project using a "Woodgrain Look". It was certainly a challenge at first because I do not have a single stampset retired or current with a Game/Woodsy animal. I went through my pinterest punch art board and found a punch art of a turkey. I loved the Turkey and knew he would be perfect for my card this week.

I am sorry to all my fellow Canadians for the late Thanksgiving card!

To get the woodgrain effect I embossed my Core'dinations paper with the Woodgrain embossing folder and then sanded lightly.

On Monday I will share with you my cheatsheet for making the Turkey.

I hope I will get a chance to make a card this weekend because I want to show you how you can make a flower using the same folding technique as I used for the feathers/tail on the Turkey.

Have a great long weekend and don't forget to remember our fallen soldiers on Monday.
