Late Night Stampers Fall 2013 Blog Treasure Hunt has Begun!

Hello Fellow blog hoppers and welcome to the Late Night Stampers Fall Treasure Hunt.

My clue for the blog hop is:
The Heat Tool! 129053
Price: $36.95
This fabulous tool allows you to heat emboss. If you have never heat embossed before you are in for a treat. Once I got my hands on this technique I had to have the heat tool and all embossing powders. The heat tool melts your embossing power on your card and leaves a raised image. In my card below I used a brayer to put versamark on one side of my embossing folder. From there I ran the embossing folder and my cardstock through the big shot. I applied embossing power to the versamark and used my HEAT TOOL to heat the embossing powder.

Cardstock/DSP: Whisper White, Melon Mambo, Basic Black
StampSet: Itty Bitty Banners
Tools: Heat Tool, Black Embossing Powder, Versa Mark, Owl Punch (for the hair barrette)
Big Shot: Magnetic Platform, Bitty Banners Framelits, Argyle Embossing Folder

For anyone placing an order through me for a Heat Tool during the month of August or September will receive five cards showing you different ways to heat emboss!!!

  1. That is a great Card! Love the colours and texture. How did you make the skull? TFS.

    1. Thank you Janet!
In order to get the Skull I found a image on my iphone using Google search and traced the image onto my stamp-a-ma-jig using my basic black marker. I then Huffed on the image and rubbed it onto my card stock and cut the image out. I did the same thing for the eyes but had to use a different color so I could see it on the black.

  2. Yes, can't live without my heat tool!
Fun blog hop, thanks! And your card is adorable!

  3. Avery what a great clue. I'm like Rosie can't live with out my heat tool either and the new Stampin' Up! one is so awesome. You've got a great blog and I'm so happy you joined in the treasure hunt Avery! Have fun.

  4. I love that you have a sample card using your clue. Very nice.

  5. Such a cute skull! I don't usually like those cards...even for Halloween but she is cute.
I am signing up to follow your blog. Nice work..

  6. Thank you ladies!!! I am super excited you decided to follow my blog Carolee!

  7. Loving your cards! Looking forward to seeing more of your cards! Smiles.

  8. Thanks so much for being on the Treasure Hunt team and keeping the blog list up to date! I love your skull card! You are so clever to have used the Stamp A Ma Jig imaging sheet to make a template for the skull. Kudos!

  9. We just found this card. How did you emboss with the folder and versa mark? I just can't get it right and my granddaughter loves Monster high!!

    1. Hi Becky, even my embossing isn't perfect. Try cleaning your embossing folder then use a Embossing Buddy on your paper. Then use a brayer with versa mark on one side of your embossing folder and run it through the big shot. I hope this helps!
