My clue for the blog hop is:
The Heat Tool! 129053
Price: $36.95
This fabulous tool allows you to heat emboss. If you have never heat embossed before you are in for a treat. Once I got my hands on this technique I had to have the heat tool and all embossing powders. The heat tool melts your embossing power on your card and leaves a raised image. In my card below I used a brayer to put versamark on one side of my embossing folder. From there I ran the embossing folder and my cardstock through the big shot. I applied embossing power to the versamark and used my HEAT TOOL to heat the embossing powder. Price: $36.95
Cardstock/DSP: Whisper White, Melon Mambo, Basic Black
StampSet: Itty Bitty Banners
Tools: Heat Tool, Black Embossing Powder, Versa Mark, Owl Punch (for the hair barrette)
Big Shot: Magnetic Platform, Bitty Banners Framelits, Argyle Embossing Folder
I am currently creating three very special hand crafted gifts
- First gift will go to someone who leaves a comment
- Second gift go to someone who follows my blog (by signing up as a follower)
- Third gift will go to one of my readers who visits my Stampin Up website and fills out their contact information
As well...
For anyone placing an order through me for a Heat Tool during the month of August or September will receive five cards showing you different ways to heat emboss!!!
That is a great Card! Love the colours and texture. How did you make the skull? TFS.
ReplyDeleteThank you Janet!
DeleteIn order to get the Skull I found a image on my iphone using Google search and traced the image onto my stamp-a-ma-jig using my basic black marker. I then Huffed on the image and rubbed it onto my card stock and cut the image out. I did the same thing for the eyes but had to use a different color so I could see it on the black.

ReplyDeleteThanks so much for being on the Treasure Hunt team and keeping the blog list up to date! I love your skull card! You are so clever to have used the Stamp A Ma Jig imaging sheet to make a template for the skull. Kudos!
ReplyDeleteWe just found this card. How did you emboss with the folder and versa mark? I just can't get it right and my granddaughter loves Monster high!!
ReplyDeleteHi Becky, even my embossing isn't perfect. Try cleaning your embossing folder then use a Embossing Buddy on your paper. Then use a brayer with versa mark on one side of your embossing folder and run it through the big shot. I hope this helps!
