FM133 Make a Wish - Painters Tape Technique

Wow, I can't believe Tuesday was the last day I posted. I even missed the Friday Mashup post. I guess it is always better late than never.

I took the inspiration for this card from Mary Fish. I believe I changed the card enough not to use the word "CASED" but either way I wanted to make sure she got credit for the original design.

The challenge from Friday Mashup was to create a project using the colors, "Coastal Cabana, Crushed Curry, Smokey Slate and Basic Grey" or create a project with a "Cake". I chose to "Mash it up" and do both challenges.

Follow these steps to make the background.
1. Take painters tape and with sticky side down rub it on your ink pad
2. Take the tape off and place it on your card stock.
3. Rub all over the tape to make sure the ink transfers to the cardstock
4. Peel away the painters tape and you have your background! :D

Stampset: Make a Wish, Sweet Essentials
Paper: Very Vanilla, Basic Grey
Ink: Crushed Curry, Smokey Slate, Costal Cabana, Basic Grey
Punches: Modern Label
Accessories: 3/8" Ruffle Stretch Trim, Rhinestone Basic Jewels

  2. Neat, neat, neat! I tried this technique at a local craft shop and had ink everywhere! I will try it again soon especially after seeing your cute card, Avery. Nice design and layout;)

    1. I got lucky and didn't have ink everywhere. I used my bone folder to press the tape on the ink pad. It certainly helped to remail ink free. I hope you enjoy the technique when you try it. I would love to see what you create!!!
