Red Fox Tags 4 You Birthday

This is the card I made for my brother-in-law for this Birthday. I found out his favourite animal was a Red Fox. It was perfect because I had just pinned a photo of fox punch art Deidre Mooney had created. Deidre didn't share how she created the fox so I had to figure it out on my own.

You can follow me on pinterest to see many more punch art ideas here.

Tomorrow I will share with you my cheat sheet for the fox.

See the photos below to see how I got the layering on the sentiment.

Punch Art Squirrel Card

I created this card a while ago. I had a co-worker who wanted a card with a Squirrel on it for his brother's birthday. He said his brother was afraid of squirrels so he wanted something to strike out the squirrel. This is what I came up with.

I created this squirrel from a clip art image I found. Since no one has ever created this before I thought I would also provide you with my cheat sheet. I hope you enjoy!

Happy "Punching"!!!

Happy Birthday Pinterest CASE

This is another card I made on World Card Making Day. This card was cased from Angela McKay.

The card has a very simple layout I think I will be using over and over again.

Follow me on Pinterest for many more ideas much like this one.

Today I found out how to adjust the size of my blog so I can now have my pictures appear bigger on my blog. I would love some feedback. Do you like the pictures bigger? Does my blog still upload quickly? Has the bigger pictures slowed my blog down?
Any feedback would be awesome! Thank you and have a great day!!!

FM133 Make a Wish - Painters Tape Technique

Wow, I can't believe Tuesday was the last day I posted. I even missed the Friday Mashup post. I guess it is always better late than never.

I took the inspiration for this card from Mary Fish. I believe I changed the card enough not to use the word "CASED" but either way I wanted to make sure she got credit for the original design.

The challenge from Friday Mashup was to create a project using the colors, "Coastal Cabana, Crushed Curry, Smokey Slate and Basic Grey" or create a project with a "Cake". I chose to "Mash it up" and do both challenges.

Follow these steps to make the background.
1. Take painters tape and with sticky side down rub it on your ink pad
2. Take the tape off and place it on your card stock.
3. Rub all over the tape to make sure the ink transfers to the cardstock
4. Peel away the painters tape and you have your background! :D

Stampset: Make a Wish, Sweet Essentials
Paper: Very Vanilla, Basic Grey
Ink: Crushed Curry, Smokey Slate, Costal Cabana, Basic Grey
Punches: Modern Label
Accessories: 3/8" Ruffle Stretch Trim, Rhinestone Basic Jewels

Lovely as a Tree - Sympathy

Hello! I hope you all had a great weekend.

This is another card I cased which I originally found on Pinterest. This card was posted by LovinTX on Spiltcoast Stampers. I loved the card and it was fairly simple to re-create.

The mat I used was cut at 4"X2-3/4". I sponged the rectangle with Sahara Sand and then stamped the tree images using what I call the "Stamping Off" technique. First you ink up your image, then you stamp on a scrap piece of paper and then you stamp onto your project. It gives you lighter stamped image.

The main tree what colored with markers. When using markers, make sure to breath onto the stamp before you stamp. This will make sure your ink is nice and wet.

Stampset: Lovely as a Tree, Simply Sketched
Paper: Very Vanilla
Ink: Always Artichoke (Marker), Chocolate Chip (Ink and Marker), Sahara Sand
Accessories: Stamping Sponges

Greetings of the Season Snowflake Card

This is another take on the card I made yesterday.

I struggled with this one because I never liked how the snowflake looked.  This was as happy as I could get with this card. I tossed up the idea on sharing this card or not but I think it is important to share everything I create so you know we all have "off" days.

Stampset: Greetings of the Season

Ink: Smokey Slate
Punches: 7/8" Scalloped Circle, 1/2" Circle, 2-1/2" Circle

Greetings of the Season Holiday Ornament

On October 5th it was World Card Making day. I took it upon myself to create as many cards as I could on the one day. I made many multiples of the same card but in total I made 31 cards. Many of my cards had to be cased in order to me to produce them so quickly but I would like to take the time to share with you my creations. This is the first of many I will be sharing with you.

This card was cased from Jamie Hurley. You can see her card on my Pinterest board here.

This card is simple to make. In order to do the punched out ornament first punch out the ornament and then punch out the circle. This ensures your ornament will be centered.

The Very Vanilla layer measures at 3-3/4" X 5"

Since I didn't have any other small ribbon, I used some leftover twine from the Boutique Boxes kit. If I had some of the new Silver 1/8" Ribbon (132137) from the Holiday Catalog I would have loved to use that.

Stampset: Greetings of the Season
Paper: Very Vanilla, Silver Glimmer Paper
Ink: Cherry Cobbler
Punches: Christmas Ornament, 2-1/2" Circle
Accessories: Season of Style Designer Washi Tape, Bakers twine from retired Boutique Boxes Kit

Punch Art Minnie Mouse Cheat Sheet

Good afternoon! I hope everyone had a great thanksgiving yesterday (I am Canadian and we celebrate much earlier than the US!). It was great to have a long weekend but I still have a lot of work to do in order to catch up.

I am not sure if I told you, but I am taking an evening class at the U of C. This class is taking a lot more of my time than I ever expected. It seems I am always studying, or working on assignments. I will do my best to keep updating my blog with inspiration but please have patience with me. I am finding little time to create right now.

Here is my cheat sheet for the Minnie Mouse card I created here. I hope this sheet helps you create your own Minnie Mouse Card.

Paper: Basic Black, Whisper White, Pink Pirouette
Punches: 1/2" Circle, 1" Circle, 1-3/8" Circle, 2-1/2" Circle, Extra-Large Oval, Large Oval

I am super excited to tell you I have been chosen to be apart of the Friday Mashup Design team. I have known for almost a month and have been dying to tell you but had to wait until today to make the announcement.

I will officially start as a designer November 1st but today they are introducing me as a new designer. Please head over the the Friday Mashup blog and join us in this challenge.

This is my first card as a designer of the Friday Mashup blog. The challenge was to:
1. Make a project using the sketch
2. Make a spooky project
3. Mash them up and do both challenges

Friday Mashup Challenge 131

To make the punch art spider I used the 1" square punch to create the legs. For the spider web I tied knots so the web would stay in place.

Morning Meadow, Sweet Essentials, Thinking of You Card

This is another card cased from a card I found on Pinterest. I see lots of cards I like on Pinterest! I have been finding cards I like and remaking them with Stampin' Up Product. This card CASE comes from a lady named Tilly, she is from Kaiwaka, New Zealand.

Thank you for the inspiration Tilly!

You can follow me HERE on pinterest.

In order to get the tree branch the way it is, I colored the stamp with markers and left out a lot of the branches and flowers.

For the tag, I used the Chalk Talk Framelits but I cut the shape down, rounded the corners on the bottom and punched a hole in the top with my Crop a Dile.

Stampset: Sweet Essentials, Morning Meadow
Paper: Whisper White, Cherry Cobbler, Pear Pizzazz
Ink / Markers: Early Espresso, Cherry Cobbler, Garden Green
Bigshot: Magnetic Platform, Chalk Talk Framelits

July's My Paper Pumpkin Party Banner Alternative Scrapbook Layout

Good Morning!

I was finally able to get some photos of the scrapbook layout I made during my "Scrap n Skype" night with my sister and mother. The photos are a little dark, but with the sun coming up so late and going down so early I think this is as good as it is going to get.

I really like this kit as a scrapbook page. For me, it will be more useful than using the kit as cake toppers.

The page on the left will have 4-3"X3" photos or one large 6.25"X6.25" photo (the mat is 6.5"X6.5"). The other mat on the left page will have 2-3X4 photos (the mat is 3.5"X8.75".

The page on the right will have 2-6"X4" photos (the mats are 6.5"X4.5") and one photo 3.5"X5.5" (the mat is 4"X6".

You may be wondering about the chevron ribbon. You are right, there is no Tangerine Tango chevron ribbon. I used Calypso Coral, which seemed to match fairly well.Once I get some photos in I may decorate the page a little more with some buttons or circles of different colors but first I need pictures.

Kit: July's My Paper Pumkin Kit
Paper: Island Indigo, Pool Party, Summer Starfruit, Whisper White
Punches: Circle Punch (1-3/8" I believe)
Accessories: Calypso Coral 3/4" Chevron Ribbon
