FM195 I have a Sketch!

I am so excited for this weeks challenge at The Firday Mashup! This week I got to create one last sketch for the team and for all of you. I think it is the perfect way to end my time with the team. I am super excited to see how everyone interprets the sketch!

Over the past year I have really enjoyed my time with The Friday Mashup team and I believe I have grown a lot as a creator. I started out only casing (copying) other people's projects but now I am able to come up with my own. 

I just want to take time to thank all the other designers on the team. They have provided fantastic inspiration with all of their challenges and they have pushed me to think out side of my box which has helped me to grow! 

This week's Mashup Challenge is:

1. Create a project with the "Sketch". 

2. Create a project with "2 different embellishments". 

3. or Mash it Up! and create a project "with the Sketch and different embellishments".

I thought it would be fun to show you what cards started my adventure with the Friday Mashup. 

When they put out their call for new designers I had a vivid dream of some cards to make for one of their challenges. The next day I went straight to my craft room and began creating. The cards turned out exactly and I pictured them in my dream. 

I submitted them to The Friday Mashup Design team call and shortly after that I was off and designing for the team.

FM151 You Make Me Smile

We have a fantastic challenge over at Friday Mashup this week. The challenge gave me the perfect opportunity to use my new Silhouette Cameo. I love the Cameo because it works with all the files we get for MDS (My Digital Studio). The file I used was from the Stampset "My Friend". 

To create my card all I did was sponge a piece of Whisper white with the different rainbow colors. Then I imported the stamp into the Silhouette software, told the software to cut out the image and Tada! (there are a few other minor steps but using the Cameo really is super easy!

Here's the Friday Mashup Challenge this week:
1. Create a project using the Sketch
2. Create a project with Rainbow or Rainbow Colors
3. Mash it up and Create a project with the sketch using Rainbows or Rainbow colors.

You & Me Card Swap Creation

Wow! What a whirl wind of a weekend! I have some personal things to share but I think I will leave that for Wednesday, provided I have time to edit the photo of the card I want to share with you.

For now I have this card fantastic card to share, which I created a while but had to hold off on sharing it.

I created this card for a swap I joined with my Upline. When I created the first card I didn't think it would be that hard to make 17 more (11 for my upline swap and 7 for my monthly swap with other ladies). However, popping out all the holes in my framelit for the negatives and all the bigshotting I did proved to be much more time consuming than I imagined. 

However, I loved how the card turned out and in fact my partner really loved it. He is very good about asking to see what i have created and always tells me they are great but he seemed really excited about this card. 

I really wanted to share it with you much sooner, as I created it back in early January but I had to wait until everyone received their cards. No one wants to spoil the surprise...

Friday Mashup FM143

I apologize today's post is late. I have been fighting a flu and so I have spent the last few days sleeping hoping I will recover quicker.

Since Valentines Day is coming up quickly we have a fantastic challenge at Friday Mashup that will help you get prepared in advance.

1. Create a project using the Colors "Coastal Cabana, Real Red & Crumb Cake."
2. Create a project using "Hearts & Arrows. "
3. Or Mash it Up and create a project using "Coastal Cabana, Real Red & Crumb Cake along with Hearts & Arrows."

I love the colour combination, it is so trendy right now. 

I created my background with Washi Tape. It is a simple but fun way to create a background and I always love how it turns out.

Make a Wish Starburst - Retro Sketches

I am on a roll with my cards!!! The sketch I used this time around came from RetroSketches. I love the starburst look so this sketch was perfect! 

I forgot to take photos of how I did the starburst for my card so I will make another card and take photos along the way. Then I will be able to give you a picture tutorial so you can do the same thing on your cards. 

Sorry the photo I current have is a little dark. No matter what I did I couldn't get the Island Indigo look like Island Indigo. If i can get a better photo I will update my post.
